When Bad Things Happen To Good Girls

Girls’ Night at Sona…The Review (by Me!)

What can I say about last night? We had a great time. I don’t know if it was the wine or our constant talking but I still can hear the girls’ voices!

We arrived early and with time enough for a drink at the bar. I must say that I was surprised by the design and the ambientation we found.

Once we were sat at the bar and ordered, we continue talking of this and that. Among other topics (as supposed) my sandals caused sensation. And I am glad, because each one of my girlfriends is always trying to be a step ahead in terms of fashion (and everything).

The best part was that my sandals not only fascinated my friends, but also lifted glances of several people in the room, which was more than flattering. With all this, my mood was getting better every second, and, for the moment my Honey & Ginger arrived (exquisite, Sona has got 100 points!) I was really happy to be there.

When we walked to the dining room I already felt like a super star.

Generally we always dress as if it were the last night out in life, and by the way people looked at us and the kindness of Sona’s staff, I guess (and hope) that several people have been wondering whether if I was not a TV star (I’d behave like I was!)

The food was exquisite. I have to give a special mention to green tea bread (yes, green tea), after the first bite (kind of weird) it becomes completely addictive! Another delight was the mushroom soup and what to say about the chocolate biscuit (terrific!!) I’ve also had a taste of the Chocolate Banana Bread Pudding Veronica ordered, it was delicious! Cheers to her choice! Only in dessert’ selection, cause this time (I’m sorry for her) she chose the worst handbag I’ve seen in my life. Anyway it was so funny to make her note it and watch her trying to hide it the rest of the night!!!

When the time to leave approached I remembered my master, forgotten somewhere in my beautiful, (I can’t help saying it) Prada Clutch Bag I bought a few days ago. When I saw my $220 plus tips I started to sweat and prayed heaven the card will work. Then a lot of horrible images came to my mind.

I was desperately giving all my cards to the maitre to see if any of it could afford the dinner while everyone stared at me. My friends’ surprised faces and what would they think. My person washing dishes in Sona’s kitchen with my $1100 sandals…

After the longest 5 minutes of my entire life, the card happened to work, and I turned again into the TV star I was until I’d finished the dessert.

Anyway, I think these situations give a touch of spice to the evening … but is no reason to think about dying or wash the dishes? Who would imagine such a thing!

Back to my story, returning home was pretty normal, although when we left the warm room I started thinking I should had taken an overcoat with me. The cool of the evening must have affected me, and I think I got a cold.

Well, fortunately for my credit cards, I think I will stay home tonight!
